In June 1998, Michael Zhang & Associates Law Firm in Beijing, WanGuo Law Firm in Shanghai and TangRen Law Firm in Shenzhen announced their amalgamation in Beijing, giving rise to Grandall Legal Group. With the amalgamation, these three law firms became Grandall Legal Group (Beijing) Office, Grandall Legal Group (Shanghai) Office and Grandall Legal Group (Shenzhen) Office respectively.
